Measles Update May 2011

News update regarding measles is that there has been 31 cases this year and there is a big outbreak of measles in France at present which is being brought to UK and Ireland by people on holiday and visiting affected areas

Thus please advise families that children need to get their MMR so that they are protected against measles infection. The vaccine is available free from the family doctor or can be arranged by the PHN.
