A letter from Ronnie Fay

Dear friend,

The All Ireland Traveller Health Study begins today, October 14 2008.  It’s an important piece of work, which will show government the healthcare needs of Travellers, and the lives that Travellers are leading in Ireland today.

It’s very important that every Traveller organisation plays its part in the study, by encouraging every Traveller family to participate and answer questions in the survey when survey teams visit homes all over the country.

This study can make Travellers’ lives better, and help us understand what we can do to make Travellers healthier.  It’s taken a long time to arrange this study, and we should all thank the people who have put it together, and the Traveller women across the country working throughout the winter to gather information.  Without their effort, the survey would not be possible.

I hope you’ll enjoy participating, and know that your support is appreciated and very welcome.

Thanks!

Ronnie Fay,
Director,
Pavee Point.
