Testing Audio

Uncategorized No Comments »

We want to make ths site as accessible as possible to people who, for one reason or other, can’t read the words on the page. We decided to go with a very simple audio player, which will not interfere with screen readers, if the user wants to use that.

If we decide to progress with this, the reader will be a Traveller man and a Traveller woman, and the sound quality will be better.

Our Geels Microsite released

Uncategorized No Comments »

The Pavee Point microsite for the All Ireland Traveller Health Study has been released. Our Geels is an all-encompassing study of the health and living conditions of Travellers in Ireland, North and South. The microsite is developed from a Pavee Point perspective, and will carry information of use to participants in the study.

There is a corresponding set of pages held by University College Dublin; in terms of materials being released, this site will attempt to mirror materials on that site, but UCD’s site should be treated as canonical.

This site is developed on the self-hosted WordPress engine, and takes the form of a blog with many static pages.
