Monday 30 November to Saturday 5 December this year concentrate mainly on events run by the national Traveller organisations.

The Ashling Hotel, near Phoenix Park, plays host to the launch of the week on Monday 30 November and a forum, hosted by the National Traveller Women’s Forum, immediately follows.

Thursday 3 December sees Traveller Focus week return to the Ashling Hotel, for a major day-long seminar, marking 25 years on the road for Pavee Point, in a seminar examining the status of Travellers in Irish society, 25 years after the group’s initial formation as the Dublin Traveller Education and Development Group.

Traveller culture and drama are to the fore in this week, with Traveller Actor Michael Collins giving three performances of his play “Worlds Apart, Same Difference” at the Project Arts Theatre, in Dublin’s Temple Bar district, on Thursday Friday and Saturday.
